• Level 2 Fireplace Inspections

Get the facts before you buy. A standard home inspection may not fully evaluate the fireplace and chimney system. Our Level 2 inspection provides a comprehensive, in-depth evaluation so you can make a confident, informed decision.

What is a level 2 fireplace and chimney inspection?

A Level 2 inspection is a more detailed evaluation of the fireplace, chimney, and venting system than a standard visual inspection. It is commonly recommended during real estate transactions, after system modifications, when changing fuel types, following a chimney fire, or when hidden defects are suspected.

Our inspections include a thorough evaluation of accessible components, camera scanning of the flue system when accessible, documentation of findings, and recommendations for any necessary repairs or maintenance.

A brick chimney with a concrete cap and a crack running down the middle. A metal and mesh chimney cap on top.

Can allow water to enter and damage the chimney and fireplace system.

Water Leaks

Can lead to hidden damage, mold, and costly repairs.

Rusted Chase Top

Creates serious venting and fire safety concerns that require immediate attention.

Cracked Liners

May allow heat, smoke, and combustion gases to reach the home or combustible materials.
